Three Britons were diagnosed with the virus Zika after returning from travel to potentially dangerous from the epidemiological point of view of the country. Patients undergo treatment at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust . The report says: " Three patients who returned from a trip abroad have been diagnosed with the virus Zika ." Dr. Gavin Boyd , MD, infectiologist at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, said: " There is no special treatment for the Zick virus, it usually dies out on its own for a period of 2 to 7 days ." " The risk of contracting the Zick virus in the UK is very low, since there are no mosquitoes that transmit the infection in the UK, but it can spread sexually. " At the moment in Europe , one fact of the birth of a child with the virus Zika - in Spain is registered.
In the UK , 53 people are screened for the Zik virus. The UK Health Service still asks pregnant women to refrain from traveling to regions where the virus is active.
